The Luxury of Cashmere

The magic of cashmere comes from the undercoat of the cashmere goat which resides in the mountainous region of Mongolia. By combing this part of the goat, an extremely soft and lightweight fibre is extracted. However, because only a few ounces are obtained at a time from each goat, this luxurious fibre is scarce.

There have been efforts to raise the cashmere producing goats in other parts of the globe without much success. Through the extreme harsh climate and the fact that the goats are adapted to this climate is what makes the cashmere so fine.

Nothing feels better than the feeling of cashmere on your skin. It is prized for not only its softness but the warmth that it provides. Remember it would take a single goat four years to produce enough cashmere for a single sweater.
